This scavenger-style bike race is aimed more at fun than competition.  Join the LexRides cyclists on all sorts of bikes for a chance to do navigating, and some fast bike riding. Races are held on the open road with traffic.

Bike Lexington 3-Day Stage Race
Friday-Sunday, May 16-18

This exciting race series will attract the best cyclists from across Kentucky and the surrounding states. Come watch; enjoy the festivities and the quiet streets as bicyclists take to the road! Races are supported and organized by our local racing teams:

  • Prologue (Time Trial)
    Friday, May 16, 7pm, Avenue of Champions
    Bicyclists will race against time along a two mile course on Avenue of Champions from Memorial Coliseum to High Street and back. Activities for spectators will be held at Memorial Coliseum.

  • Criterium & Fun Races
    Saturday, May 17, 12:30-5:30pm, Courthouse Plaza
    Stick around after the Bike Lexington Rally and watch bicyclists race around the Courthouse Plaza.

    There will also be fun and unusual races for all including:
    • Kids race (1 lap) - 12:30 – 12:45
    • Two 5 lap sprints - one fixed gear race; one single speed race; costumes/funny bikes encouraged 12:45 -1:15

  • Criterium Race
    Sunday, May 18, 8am, Coldstream Park
    Come take a ride on the trails at Coldstream Park while you watch and wait to see who our 3-Day Stage Race champions are.

Two Wheel Thrill” Mountain Bike Race
Sunday, May 25, 11am, Capital View Park, Frankfort, KY

This cross-country mountain bike race is presented by the YMCA of Central Kentucky. If you have never raced mountain bikes, or watched a mountain bike race, this is a great opportunity. The race is open to first-timers, beginners, sport, expert and pro racers (ages 6 – 50+). All racers must wear a helmet. All proceeds from the race will benefit the YMCA Campaign for Kids fund, which provides financial assistance to kids, adults, and families who cannot afford to pay the full price for a membership or program.
