Bike Lexington Rally
Saturday, May 17, 9-12pm, Courthouse Plaza, Main & Limestone St

Join Mayor Newberry at the Bike Lexington 2008 Rally where 1000+ bicyclists will reclaim the streets and celebrate bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation.

View the 10 mile car-free route through downtown Lexington, view map. You bring your bike, we’ll provide the food, drink, live music and more.

  • Registration 8am – 9:30am
  • Bike decorating/face painting 8am – 9:30am
  • Information booths 8am – 9:30am
  • Bike checks 8am – 9:30am
  • Kids bike safety rodeo 9am
  • Car-free family fun ride 10am (view map)

  • Free bike helmets First come basis - beginning at 8 am
  • Free bikes & prizes After the ride - around 11:30am
  • Free “Yellow Bike” rentals Pick-up by 9:30am (email us to reserve a bike)
  • Day 2 - Stage Race 12:30 – 5:30pm (includes fun races for less serious riders)

Free parking: Transit Center – Access from Vine Street or High Street. Lexington Public Library - Main Street entrance will be blocked in the afternoon, so please access the garage from Water Street.
